Randy Napoleon is a guitarist, composer and arranger who toured and recorded with Benny Green, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and Michael Bublé before joining The Freddy Cole Quartet in 2007. He arranged most of Mr. Cole’s last five albums, including the Grammy-nominated Freddy Cole Sings Mr. B. Mr. Napoleon has appeared with other jazz luminaries, including Bill Charlap, Natalie Cole, Houston Person and Rodney Whitaker. He has made four recordings as a leader, including this year’s Soon. His TV appearances, mainly as a sideman, include the talk shows of David Letterman, Jay Leno and Ellen DeGeneres as well as Today, the Jerry Lewis Telethon and Bublé’s PBS “Great Performances” special, Caught in the Act. He also tours with his own bands and is on the faculty of Michigan State University. His website is randynapoleon.com.
