Jens Düppe is a german drummer and composer. Because of a bounderless interest in music and art in generell he has developed a huge knowledge and a bright view of many artistic matters. His experience results from performances with Maria Schneider, David Liebman, Kenny Werner, Lee Konitz, Toots Thielemans, Charlie Mariano, Markus Stockhausen, the german radio big bands and many others. Next to his quartet he is leading lots of different projects from improvised jazz music up to performance‐ concepts which include and combine multiple kinds of arts. Düppe studied in Weimar (Germany), Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and in N.Y.C. Until 2002, Düppe was also a member of the „German Youth Orchestra“, led by famous Peter Herbolzheimer, where Düppe later was engaged as a teacher. Later Düppe worked with famous german trombone player Albert Mangelsdorff in his Quintett. Düppe was teaching jazz drums and combo playing at the IfM (institut for music) in Osnabrück / Germany.
